Adecco Group is a Fortune 500 company with a massive global footprint. Supporting over 100,000 companies across 60+ countries and territories, it’s the world’s leading talent solutions and advisory company.

With a trusted reputation being one of its most valuable assets, the Adecco Group needs a single learning solution to deliver training to maintain these high standards. Using LearnUpon’s LMS, the organization can seamlessly deliver a robust Integrity and Compliance (I&C) program to over 35,000 employees around the world.

“As a Fortune 500 company, it’s of utmost importance to us to train our employees on I&C topics and live up to the highest ethical standards. With LearnUpon, we have one easy, accessible system for ALL countries and colleagues worldwide.”

The challenge: Global compliance needs, several learning systems

With so many employees across so many countries, the Adecco Group’s Learning team needed a streamlined way to train. But with different regions using disparate systems and processes, nothing was standardized or scalable. To tackle this, the team decided to make a major transformation: create a single destination for employee learning.

Critically, the solution “would help us change the perception of learning across the Adecco Group”, according to Mirva Asikainen, Global Head of Learning Experience & Technology at the Adecco Group, as it would enable the team to scale learning via integrations and produce relevant and interactive courses in-house.

The solution: One “go-to place” for learning

The longstanding partnership between LearnUpon LMS and Degreed LXP made LearnUpon the perfect choice. The Adecco Group University (“TAG U”) Digital Campus is now the “go-to place”, where employees can access global I&C training powered by LearnUpon, alongside opportunities for development in other areas powered by Degreed, through a single front door.

“With all the training in one system, people know they’ll find everything they need. It’s been a key enabler in helping us collaborate and align our ways of working across territories, but it’s also helping us change the culture of learning that we have as an organization.”

Less tasks, more time

One thing Susanne Hederoth, Global Integrity & Compliance Training Manager at the Adecco Group, appreciates with LearnUpon is how much time it saves by replacing manual processes.

Previously, admins needed to send people links to access different training areas. Now, not only is TAG U Digital Campus the “go-to place to find everything”, but users are created, updated, and placed into Groups in the system automatically via an API connection with global HRIS, SAP Success Factors. All that’s left is for admins to assign a course to a Group or Groups based on, for example, their role, seniority or territory. This gives peace of mind to the team, who need to be sure that essential compliance training is delivered and tracked.

All this means Susanne and her team have more time to focus on developing meaningful course content. Time well spent, according to the Global Head of Learning Experience & Technology at the Adecco Group, Mirva Asikainen who says:

“How we deliver our global I&C training program now is a showcase - it's something that’s always recognized throughout the organization, no matter which country or business you’re talking to, or which function, because it’s interactive, exciting, and transformative.”

Training that learners actually want to complete

In TAG U Digital Campus, employees have on-demand access to a broad curriculum of organization-wide training in 14+ languages. Added to this is more in-depth training on key topics like competition and data privacy, and courses tailored to the employees’ roles, like management authorization guidelines.

To make programs more relevant and engaging, live training is delivered by local admins through LearnUpon’s Live Learning features and ready-made MS Teams webinar integration. And access is effortless, all employees have to do is log in with Single Sign-On (SSO) using their company credentials.

Using LearnUpon’s reporting and feedback features, global and local learning teams are keeping a watchful eye on training performance. And, importantly, they’re using these insights to drive engagement by:

  • Monitoring average completion rate across all I&C programs and making progress towards their target of 90%.
  • Enabling local admins to report on relevant groups or courses they have created for their territory, allowing them to address non-completion with learners.
  • Giving managers visibility into the progress of their direct reports.
  • Capturing feedback from learners through course Surveys, who describe training as “eye-opening”, “entertaining”, and “interactive”, as well as “informative” and “comprehensive”.

Up next: Continuing to reinvent the learning landscape at the Adecco Group

Building a culture of learning is top of the agenda for Mirva, who says, “We want to empower people to take ownership of their own learning, to go beyond what is mandatory and choose content that’s aligned to their own development needs.” And with the extended technology landscape of LearnUpon LMS and Degreed LXP, together with the shining example of the Global Integrity and Compliance program, the team is continuing to strengthen that business case.
